Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy were first produced by Knickerbocker in 1962. At that time, the most significant change was the color of the yarn hair from orange to a rich autumn red. The Knickerbocker Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy have been painstakingly recreated by award-winning doll artist, Linda Henry Boving. The nostalgic pair have delicately hand-painted bisque porcelain "Pancake" faces and sculpted cloth bodies. Vintage gingham and calico fabrics, red and white striped legs and black shoes are classic details of the original costumes.
