It's always tough for me to pick a favorite anything; from food to movies and books.
But if I had to chose one author that I prefer over any other it would have to be the
incredibly talented Ray Bradbury. As you will see if you scroll down, or if you've
checked out my biography page (once completed), I am fond of reading and writing short
stories. Don't get me wrong, I definitely enjoy a good novel. But I feel there is a
very real and often difficult art to telling a tale that is not just to the point, but
able to capture a readers imagination in so few words and pages. Instead of listing all of Mr. Bradbury's work which I've enjoyed, I'll keep it simple by saying there has yet to be a story written from his pen that I have not. Stephen King is an author who I will admit I have never particularly had a taste for. But two compilations of his work, Skeleton Crew and Everything's Eventual, were a surprisingly good read. Another favorite of mine is the brilliant Michael Crichton. Although his works can often become bogged down by overly technical detail, his stories are both amazing and enthralling. Congo, Sphere, and Terminal Man are my favorites among his collection. I also enjoy classic works of literature, and am particularly enchanted by the writings of science fiction pioneer Jules Verne. I am currently re-reading the great 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Another classic favorite of mine is Miguel de Cervantes' Don Quixote, and would love to read the text in it's native tongue if my studies in the language ever improve. Other works I enjoy include the sickeningly popular yet unfortunately addictive Harry Potter series, Lord of the Flies, and the Redwall series which was so popular when I was in grade school. I also recently finished the Da Vinci Code, and somehow made my way to the end of a Clive Cussler novel (Atlantis Found). The later was surprising page-turner once I got past the self-aggrandizing ego of Mr. Cussler. |

Below are links to my various works. Some are old. Some are new. Nothing's borrowed or blue. Please keep in mind that most, if not all, of these works are posted so you can see what I'm working on, but have not been edited for spelling or grammar. I enjoy comments and input but don't waste my time with "you spelled such-and-such wrong" or "you mistyped this word". Suggestions on content and style, however, are always welcome. Also, these links will open in a new window. Therefore if you have a pop-up blocker, it might need to be disabled in order to view these pages. Thank you.
