~Images Of Oneself~
When I look in the mirror The reflections that I see, Are not of
anyone famous They are only of me. No matter what I do No matter
where I go, I cannot lie to this image Or hide from its glow.
When other people see me They see a room dimly lit, To see it though
and though One must come in and sit.
There's a room in my heart That no one knows but God, It's sealed to
the public Away from stares and nods.
But on that Great Judgment Day Before Him I will stand, The Levi
Jeans I'm wearing Will not be worth their brand.
The gold chain around my neck Or the fur around my back, Will not
impress the Savior For what my soul may lack.
So mirror when I look at you I want to always see, A person clean
inside and out And ready for Eternity.
