This man taught me and many, many other steel guitarist much of what we play on the steel guitar.
Jeff Newman, lost his life in a tragic ultra-light airplane crash a few years ago. When Jeff passed away,
I lost the will to play the steel guitar for a very long time. Today when I play the steel on stage,
I can still hear Jeff in my mind, with his gentle humor and that big smile telling me how to play this
and that and always saying, oh yes you can do it. God bless you Jeff
