Spam is
an inherent problem on the Internet. To reduce spam, Green Apple offers
customers the option to have their emails screened against a Real-time
Blackhole List (RBL). An RBL is a list of servers which are known to be
sending spam. If you use an RBL, email sent to you which originates from a
server appearing on the list is rejected. Using an RBL is a very effective way
for reducing spam.
About 70-80% of actual spam is blocked, but
there is also a risk of legitimate mail not getting through. If you are
experiencing troubles with a specific sender that you would like to receive
mail from but don't seem to get it, please call us with the block
senders email and we will then be able to fix your problem. For the definition of RBL, please see For more information on fighting spam, please see |
