Image Quality Setting

The image quality setting determines the quality of images which are shown when accelerating. The higher the quality, the longer it takes to load; the lower the quality, the shorter it takes. Slower connections can improve performance by using a lower image quality. You can obtain full image quality for a particular image (see 'Getting Full Image Quality' below), so do not be overly concerned with lowering your image quality setting.

1. Right-click on the SlipStream icon in the system tray on the taskbar.
2. Select  "Settings...".
3. Select "Image Quality" tab.
4. Adjust quality by moving slider.
5. Press OK.

Getting Full Image Quality

Note: The following information applies only when browsing with Internet Explorer.

While browsing, if you would like to request the full quality image, simply right-click on desired image and select "Show Original Image" from menu:

If you want to see the full quality version of all images on the current page, select "Show All Original Images" from the menu.

Pop-Up Blocker

The SlipStream Accelerator can block or allow pop-up windows and floating flash advertisements from appearing while you browse the Internet. The default behavior is to block. To control the pop-up block/allow behavior:

1. Right-click on the SlipStream icon in the system tray on the taskbar.
2. Select  "Pop-Up Blocker...".
3. Select "Options" tab and provide settings.

Certain websites need pop-ups to function correctly. When the Accelerator is set to block pop-ups, a "White List" of sites which are not blocked may be provided. These sites are managed through the "White List" tab of the "Pop-Up Blocker" window. Use "Add", "Remove" and "Remove All" to manage the "White List". To see the list of pop-ups which were blocked, click the "Logging" tab of the "Pop-Up Blocker" window. When finished with Pop-Up Blocker window, hit OK.

Besides adding "White List" sites through the Pop-Up Blocker window, you can add directly from Internet Explorer. When you are on a website you do not want to block, right-click on any text and select "Add to Whitelist" from menu:
