Green Apple technician

billing information
- Switch to credit card billing
- Make a credit card payment
- View domains (if available)
- View and Print invoices
- View invoice details
- View payments
This guide was created to inform our users how
to get the most out of the My Account system. If you run into any
problems or still have more questions after reading this document, please
don't hesitate to give us a call.
Logging On
When you first enter the My Account
area, you will be prompted for your Green Apple username and password. This is
the same username and password you use to dial in with us. If you have
multiple accounts with us, make sure you are using the login and password of
your primary account. If you created extra email addresses on your account,
these usernames and passwords will not work here. Enter the information as
follows:
- Login: <Your Login> Note: Do NOT
include the @greenapple.com part as that is not your login name
- Password: <Your Password>
If you run into problems and you are sure you
are typing both the username and password in correctly, please
give us a call. We may not have your
current password in our billing software, thus you will not be able to access
the My Account site until we get that updated. Older accounts that were active before
September 1999 or accounts that have never called for technical support or
spoken to anyone in the office may need to call as well.
The Main Menu
The main screen for the My Account section is
divided into three sections, the left navigation, the upper title bar, and the
information area.
Listed in the left navigation are buttons to take you to features of My Account. Listed
in the upper toolbar is your name, the Logout, and Home buttons.
Clicking on Green Apple Home will
return you to Green Apple's homepage. Clicking on My Account Home will
return you to the main information page within My Account.
Information for each button is as follows:
Account Info
Here you can edit your address,
your billing address (if different than your home address) and enter credit
card information if you wish to be billed via a credit card. Credit card
information is not required, yet is highly suggested since you can have
your payments automated in this fashion. If you make any changes, be sure
to hit the update button at the bottom of the page when finished.
Invoices
View all current and past invoices here ordered
by date with most recent listed at the top. Viewing an invoice gives the
option to print a "print friendly" copy of the invoice.
Payments History
Lists all past payments, including check number
(if applicable), amount paid, and date payment received.
E-Mail Maintenance
Using this menu, you can add, change the
password or delete email accounts. You are allowed 10 email accounts with
each Internet access account. The number of remaining email accounts available to create is listed at the
upper right corner of the page. Instructions on adding new emails or forwards
along with user name and password rules can be found
here.
Once you have created a new email account, your
next step is to setup your mail program to handle the extra accounts. If you
are running Outlook Express 5.x or higher, you can use
this. If you are using an
older version of Outlook Express, it is recommended that you upgrade to the
latest version available for your operating system.. You can also setup
Netscape 4.5x via this, or Netscape 6
with this. To configure Netscape, follow
the instructions on adding a mail server account and repeat as necessary. If
you do not wish to configure your program again, or wish to keep the messages
separate, you can use Green Apple's Web Email interface to send, retrieve and
manage your messages. You can find Web Email
here.
Domain Names
If you have a domain hosted with Green Apple,
you can view information about the domain here.
Change Password
You can change your existing account password here.
If you have dial-up service, this will change this password as well. If
you have DSL service, this will not update your password for this service.
If you would like to update your DSL password, please
give us a call. You will need to enter your existing password in the first box,
then type your new password in the boxes below. There are restrictions on the
type of password you can have. They are: Passwords must be alpha-numerical
(i.e., letters and numbers) only. Upper and lower case is allowed -- but be
aware, the Password is case-sensitive. Must be between 4 and 16 characters in
length. Combinations of numbers and letters are highly recommended. Examples:
t5Y876d, PR8nktuq, 76T1m0L
Make Payment
If you wish to make a payment on your account,
you can do so here. In order to make a payment, you will need a major credit
card. The current accepted cards are listed on this page. In order to make sure
the payment goes through, double check your name, number and expiration date
and amount.
If you make a mistake, you will be notified that you entered incorrect
information.
Request Tech Call Back
You can use this feature to notify Green Apple
that you wish for a technical support representative to contact you. This is
useful since Green Apple will be notified right away. If it is after business
hours, we will attempt to get a hold of you as soon as we come in the next
morning.
