| CallWave is an application that
allows you to receive phone messages off the same phone line as your internet
connection uses. The program uses a feature of your phone line called "forward
on busy". Many phone companies offer this service, but to be safe you may want
to contact your phone company before attempting the use this program.
The way the program works is this: When someone calls you while you are connected to the internet, the call is forwarded to an 1-800 that is owned and operated by CallWave. After the caller is presented with a short message, they can leave a message if they desire and then after a short delay, CallWave will download the message to your computer and play it for you. Simple as that. Using CallWave There is really not much to do to get started using CallWave. Once downloaded, you are prompted for some setup information such as your email address, a password and the number that CallWave will be using. After your account is created, you should be able to use the software. CallWave sits in the system tray near the clock and will wait while you are online for incoming messages. Once a message is received, you will be notified. In order to call back, you will either need to disconnect from the internet in order to gain control over the phone line or use a separate line or cell phone. Issues with the program Green Apple is aware that several customers that attempted to use the CallWave program began to experience problems with their computers. This is usually associated with issues with the installation of the CallWave program. Often, the best solution is to just remove the software from the computer and attempt a reinstall. If that doesn't work, contact CallWave with your support issues. |
