| Green Apple News: Reducing Spam Via RBL Subscription | |||||
| October 31, 2002 Spam is an inherent problem on the Internet. To reduce spam, Green Apple offers customers the option to have their emails screened against a Real-time Blackhole List (RBL). An RBL is a list of servers which are known to be sending spam. If you use an RBL, email sent to you which originates from a server appearing on the list is rejected. Using an RBL is a very effective way for reducing spam. Green Apple's RBL service is free, but opt-in: to subscribe, please send an email to ''spamcop@greenapple.com'. For the definition of RBL, please see For more information on fighting spam, please see For further questions about spam, please contact us.
