has received notice of the new Windows virus Dumaru. Dumaru is a mass-mailing
worm which installs a trojan horse program onto an infected machines, allowing
remote control of the infected computer. Emails with the worm can be
identified with the subject line: "Use this patch immediately !" and with the
spoofed sender address of "Microsoft <security@microsoft.com>". If you
encounter such an email, clicking on the attachment will infect your computer. For more

Apple has taken steps to block inbound email having Dumaru’s signature, but
all users are urged to implement practices and techniques for lowering
