August 19, 2003 As the Internet community continues the clean-up from MSBlast, another Internet worm is affecting Microsoft Windows users. The worm is a new variant of the Sobig virus. Like many other viruses, Sobig.F spreads through email attachments. Users who open the attachment, unintentionally install the worm on their computer. Once infected, the worm emails itself to addresses found in address books, cached webpages, and other documents. Sobig also opens ports for sending and listening on the infected machine. help protect users from viruses, Green Apple has blocked emails having Sobig's
signature. In addition, the ports on which Sobig sends and listens have been
