Last month Green Apple completed an upgrade of our modem pool to support the new modem protocol standard V.92. This new standard improves both upstream and downstream rates -- dramatically improving the rate of text transfers -- supports “modem-on-hold”, and slightly improves a modem’s connection time. Many V.90 modems are readily upgradeable to V.92/V.44 through loading the latest driver.
