| Green Apple News: MyDoom.F & NetSky Viruses | |||||
| February 25, 2004 Green Apple has received notices on two mass-mailing worms: MyDoom.F and NetSky. MyDoom.F is the latest mutation of original MyDoom and just like the original, MyDoom.F will install a backdoor in the infected machines granting attackers full access to the victims' computers. Also, it will launch DoS (Denial of Service) attacks to www.microsoft.com and www.riaa.com between 17th and 22nd of any months. The worm Netsky has started making rounds in the Internet. It is spreading through means of emails, LAN shared drives, and file sharing networks, such as Kazaa. In response to these worms outbreak, Green Apple has blocked emails with the worm signature at the mail servers. If you believe your computer is infected and could use help, please do not hesitate to give us a call. As always, Green Apple users are welcome to bring in their machines for virus scans and virus removals. Related Links For more information on
