FIDOS Online Dog Licensing System is a web-based dog licensing system. FIDOS saves counties and municipalities time and money by streamlining the license process. FIDOS is completely web-administered and features license form generation; barcode processing; credit card handling; online purchasing; multiple access tiers for support of administrative, policing, and public access; and much more.

 
Features

 

For the county or municipality in charge of license management:

  • Easily Administered. The system runs in a web-browser over an Internet connection. With the exception of a barcode reader, no special hardware or software is needed.
  • No Managing Software Updates. The software for the FIDOS system is kept at Green Apple; we manage the roll-out of updates and feature enhancements.

  • Handle Postal Mail and Online Applications. Through a single interface, you can manage both postal mail applications and applications received online.

  • Fast Processing. Using barcode technology, you can process postal applications in a fraction of time it took in the past.

  • Data Availability. Owner and license information is easily exported for use in other systems.
  • Delinquent Owners. Easily identify owners and their dogs from the prior year that are un-licensed or unaccounted for in the current year.

  • Getting Started. Green Apple will set up the system -- importing your prior year owner and license information and creating a visually attractive website consistent with the look-and-feel of your current website -- and provide training on using the system.

For the dog warden, shelter, and others charged with dog policing:

  • Lookup Dog Owners. Use the system to lookup dog owner information.
  • Multiple Search Parameters. A wide range of criteria can be used to identify owner or dog information.
  • Save Time and Money. Being able to identify a dog owner whenever can save on having to board the dog while waiting for license administrators to get back with the information (this is especially true on the weekend).

For the general public:

  • Convenient. Receive license renewal applications pre-filled with prior year dog information.
