Our catalog and ordering solutions are based around Cargo, an application developed by Green Apple specifically to handle the requirements of online catalog management, presentation and ordering. Cargo features powerful categorization and searching capabilities; flexible data and presentation formats; multiple pricing tiers; individual and quantity discounting; account and order history; automated shipping and sales tax calculation; and an extensive set of management reports. The system is web-administered through an easy to use interface. Orders and RFQs generated online may be received via email or using the secure order processing facility, capable of order status transitioning, electronic payment, and balance keeping.

Different suppliers and distributors have different online catalog and ordering needs. Some may want to present the catalog only; others, to receive orders; still others require order and payment processing capability. To meet different classes of needs and budgets, our catalog and ordering solutions utilize Cargo in one of three configurations.

The Process
 
Creating an online catalog and ordering systems starts with an interview to assess the goals, establish key catalog features, and identify data requirements. Using this information, we create a proposal for consideration. Upon acceptance of the proposal and signing of an agreement, additional information is gathered to create the project specification, which details the system configuration, data I/O, graphical design, and other requirements. Upon acceptance of the specification, implementation commences. At or near the end of implementation, training is provided. After the system is accepted and deployed, we provide ongoing technical and operational support, including update management.

Setup
Our catalog and ordering solutions have two pricing components: Setup and Monthly. Setup covers the work which goes into specification, implementation, training, and deployment. Fees are hourly-based and vary according to catalog size, data and image quality, graphic design, supporting pages, and other one-time work necessary for the solution.

Monthly
Monthly covers hosting, maintenance, and support of the system and use of the Cargo application, including updates and fixes to it. Fees are assessed monthly and are based upon the Cargo configuration used by the catalog and ordering solution. Those fees are as follows:

A product catalog necessarily requires additions, deletions, and updates. Green Apple provides you with the training and customer support necessary to manage your catalog -- including modifying part and price information, generating management reports, handling orders, and general account and catalog maintenance. An easy-to-use, browser-based administration interface, complete with bulk import/export facilities, gives you administrative control of your catalog from any computer connected to the Internet.

Customers are encouraged to make use of the available administrative features to manage their product catalogs. However, should you prefer to have Green Apple manage the catalog, in whole or part, on your behalf, we are happy to discuss this approach.
