Green Apple DSL is an always available, high-speed connection for Internet access. DSL is delivered on the same telephone line that is used for regular voice or fax service, and you can use DSL at the same time as you use voice or fax service. DSL is circuit-based, providing a dedicated end-user channel for secure, high bandwidth, low latency communication for residents and businesses, unlike cable-delivered Internet access, which shares the end-user communication channel among a group of users, typically a neighborhood or more. DSL is available to SBC-served areas and there are certain line qualifications, such as line length and condition, which must be met.

Requirements and Service Notes

- You must have telephone service with AT&T (formerly SBC).
- The ability to provide you DSL and its bandwidth are based upon the length of the run of the phone line and its condition.
- Pre-qualification of your phone line is done before ordering (at no charge).
- Pre-qualification of your phone line is an excellent indicator of the availability of service, but not a guarantee.
- You must have a DSL modem or router and an Ethernet interface in your computer. Green Apple can help with all your equipment needs.
- The reselling of bandwidth is not permitted.
- Your having a server for hire or a high usage server is not permitted.
- There is a limit of three computers per connection. Additional computers are $5 per month per computer extra. For networks with many computers or having high usage servers, we recommend T-1 service.
- A static IP address is available for $10 per month extra.
- The standard time for installation is seven days.
- You must provide seven days advance notice on the cancellation of the service.
- The service must kept a minimum of one year. If you cancel the service before the end of one year, you will be assessed a penalty fee of $115. No penalty fee is assessed if you cancel within the first ten days of installation.
